A Sports Guy Christmas

One particularly memorable mischievous moment (like that alliteration?) from high school was during Christmas when we decided that Sports Guy was decorating his house well enough for the holiday season. I think it was me, Bob, Rob, and Skuter that sought to remedy this blatant lack of Christmas cheer. Our solution? Drive around on the other side of the base and nab yard ornaments from people's houses to put in Sports Guy's front yard.

We did the deed ninja style. First we would case the yard, then we would park down the street. We would streak through the dark like an arrow in the wind. And then we were gone. Well, except for this one time when I was trying to make off with a Rudolph. Apparently, Rudolph could not lead the eight other reindeer and Santa's sleigh if he wasn't attached with some sort of wire or rope. I dragged an entire lighted display a few feet across the yard before abandoning the ill conceived idea.

Each of us collected our own yard ornament then drove back to Sports Guy's house and put them along the walkway to his house. Then we would drive by everyday to see if he had taken them down, but he kept them up for quite a while.
