Steroids!
Are you mad at Lance Armstrong? Next time you see cycling on TV, are you going to change the channel in disgust (rather than because there's cycling on TV)? Why do people care so much?
I think it should be okay for athletes to take steroids or whatever performance enhancing drug to give them an advantage. You know why? Because it makes sports more awesome. I want to see home runs. I want to see big football hits. I want to see a guy win the Tour de France seven times in a row (you know, on the ESPN highlights, because if cycling is on TV, I'm changing the channel).
And you know there were a hundred other guys that didn't win that were doing the same things as Lance. You still have to have some sort of skill. Yeah, I can take steroids too. Can I hit a fastball? Can I ride a bike up a mountain? Probably not even with steroids.
Baseball didn't put anyone in the Hall of Fame this year and there were several deserving guys. I think I've said this before, but it's called the Hall of Fame. Are these not famous people in the sport? You know who's in the Hall of Fame? Bruce Sutter. Does the casual fan know who that is? Was he a better player or more influential than Roger Clemens or Barry Bonds?
Get over it, man. Steroids make sports more interesting.
