Punk Covers

Every good song should have a related punk cover. Just a thought. Take any song, whether in by Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, or Christina Aguilera. Yell or screech it at the top of your lungs over a hyper drum beat. And voila! You have yourself a punk cover. They're entertaining, really. You get your classic favorites, but more upbeat and happy. The soundtrack of the movie about my life will be all punk covers. Like the Verve Pipe's "Freshman" covered by Mustard Plug. When I was young I knew everything.

I think it was Mr. Bungle who did a punk version of the Super Mario Bros. theme song. It is actually pretty damn good.
