My Mrs K Ad: Version 2012
Saw this post from back in the day. Seeing as how my circumstances have changed I feel like it needs a bit of updating.
My Perfect Match:
First and foremost, Colsen is the most important person in my life. Now and always. You have to come into this know that you can only ever make it to a solid #1B, but that's about it and it would take a lot to get there. Thinking about, I wouldn't mind meeting a single mother with a kid Colsen's age because she would understand my view point here and bonus she would have a playmate for Colsen.
Physical attributes: Still not tremendously important, especially as my own fade more and more. You can't be a body builder, but you have to take care of yourself as least as much as I do. You can't be bald, but I can. You can't have an excessive amount of visible tattoos, especially if they possess no personal significance, unless it's a big picture of me on your back. I won't date midgets nor people that are taller than me. I say I like blondes, but mostly date brunettes. You shouldn't remind me of someone that freaks me out, like Barbra Streisand or Cher.
You have to like movies. Like all of the ones in my previous post. I'm still down for Red Box and popcorn on Friday night more than most other options.
My tastes in music are still eclectic. Liking concerts isn't of grand importance like it used to be. I think I'm getting old, because I worry about losing my hearing. OAR is still my favorite band, so the ability to tolerate them is a must.
Drinking is no longer important in my life. I think I spent most of my 20's in a state of ridiculous and unnecessary drunkeness. I would not like to repeat that.
I don't work 60 hours a week anymore, but I shoot for 50. I don't always get there, especially lately, but 50 seems right for me. Playing with Colsen has taken precedence. You know that commercial, take time to be a dad today. That's me.
I still am not highly organized. I do clean a little more than I used. I don't own a broom or a vacuum currently, but they are high on my list of priorities to buy next time I go to the store, somewhere below soy sauce but ahead of microwave. I did wipe down my stove top and counters today. And have, however, thought about calling up that girl that used to clean my apartment for me.
Gambling is still one of my favorite leisure activities. Must like craps and black jack. And of course poker, but I've evolved enough with that to where I don't consider it gambling, but rather more strategic. I would love to meet someone that liked poker as much as me, just for the opportunity to talk about it with someone and work on my game.
Random Road trips. These have been pretty limited lately. But I'd love to get back to where weekends are random and adventurous.
Additionally, you have to understand introverts as I am one. My me time is important. Silence is not uncomfortable. Not talking doesn't mean I'm shy. I over think simple things.
The only test you have to pass these days is the Colsen test. And he's tougher to win over than Mandy.
