I can't say I personally know anyone like this...
A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person.
...but it's obviously true.
This came from Dave Barry's 14 Things That it Took Me Over 50 Years to Learn. It's like those people at work that we call and they automatically start yelling when they answer the phone. Blah, blah, blah, what has life done to you to make you so ill-mannered?
At work I know some of the interviewers take great pleasure in scheduling a callback for a respondent that was exceptionally rude to them. So the more you yell, the more you get called.
Or what about road rage? My dad gets crazy when he's driving. He's such a calm, quiet guy... until you get him behind the wheel of an automobile. Then he comes at other drivers with the evil and some choice words. Calm down, dad. You live in California, what do you expect? Move to Idaho if you don't like other people on the road.
Too many angry people out there. Just chill. Eat a popsicle. People who eat popsicles are never mad.
