Is it just me...
Or is it impossible to just go out for one drink? I'm driving to Cali today, so last night I went out with The Poo for one drink at Applebees. That turned into two drinks. A couple of the girls there invited us to play pool and that turned into I don't know how many drinks. Needless to say, it's another ibuprofen and gatorade breakfast for me.
But, funny thing happened last night, with all due respect to my life partner Andy, I ended up getting a girl's phone number. The story is, I was talking to one of the Applebees girls about why I go out to the bar. She said, "Well it must be easy for a guy like you to go up and start talking to girls." I said sure, but I just come out here to have fun. I don't like to put effort into meeting people. They have to approach me. So I see this girl across the way looking at me, so I look back at her. We do this a couple times, then after I was done playing pool, her and her friend walk up and introduce themselves. It's like I talk about it and it just happens. This is all funny to me because I was reading an article the other day about maintaining eye contact with people. Basically, it said that successful people are the ones that maintain eye contact. It gives you a position of power in your business dealings and intrigues people socially. I'm still working on the former, but apparently the latter is true.
