The Decemberists
On Thursday, I had my first Eugene experience when I went down to the historic McDonald Theatre (that's right, the historic one, not just the regular one) to see The Decemberists. I went with some of the supervisors from my work's Moscow office.

I have talked to all of them on the phone, but this is the first time I have met any of them. They came down just to see me (or the show). I didn't think I would like these guys, but they put on a great show and I would definitely go to another. The opening band was My Brightest Diamond which was also pretty damn good. They closed with a cover of Tainted Love, so me and Jen had a sing along. Amanda, however, was standing behind some people thinking it was a line to the beer (it wasn't) and missed out on the fun.
