Brian's Friday Night Portland Adventure
Still distraught over the whole missing-Mandy's-chicken-wings thing, I took it upon myself to feed a need, a need for speed...er uh chicken wings that is. I captured the Poo and KT, to join me on my quest for poultrific pleasure and boozerlicious befuddlement. So it was off to B-Dubs where we ordered 50 wings to start our night off.
Our waitress was Lauren and she explained that BW3 promotes drinking in moderation. There's that phrase again. Just tell me I'm a drunken retard and kick me out.
So next we went downtown to Portland (thanks for not returning my call, Andy). We ended up at the Voodoo Lounge where we ran into a girl giving away free liquor and some demented decor (are you digging all my alliteration?):
Then we went to the Fusion Lounge where they ran out of Bud Light, so I was forced to drink warmish Coors Light.
They only charged a buck, so I got over my initial sadness.
I don't remember what the next bar was, but the guy standing outside said "Good drinks and good music." Had me sold.
All we found though, was this sweet bridge above the door. Notice I am sans drink.
Next we went to Dante's and caught the end of the Tapes 'n Tapes show. This is also where Fishbone is going to be playing later this month. Think of all the drunken fun that could be had at that show.
After the show, KT wanted to find a gay bar, or as I like to call them "Andy" bars. But we stopped into the Voodoo Lounge one more time to visit the free liquor girl.
We actually ended up at some bar where KT and I were amused to find a wooded bird butt staring down at us:
Then it was closing time, so sadly Brian's Friday Night Portland Adventure had to come to an end.
