It doesn't get old

You know what I still hear being talked about even after 2 weeks? Boise State. I don't know what it's like in the rest of the country, but here in Idaho, people cannot stop talking about them. "The Hook and Ladder!!!" "The Statue of Liberty!!!!" "Greatest game ever!" "Only undefeated team in the nation!"

There are 2 kinds of people in these parts. Those that watched the game and those that turned it off when Oklahoma scored with a minute left in the 4th quarter. Those of us in the former ridicule and laugh at those in the latter. Those in the latter also want to kill themselves. And we should probably stop ridiculing them before we finally push them over the edge. But I mean, how can you turn off a game with just a minute left? You have to support the home team and see it through.

The end of the game was intense. Gregg's daughter and his dog no longer have the bejesus in them, because when we were all watching, we screamed loud enough to scare the bejesus out of them. Hopefully they can live on without the bejesus.

And at the end of the game the running back proposed to the cheerleader. How's that for a happy ending? Never mind that their lives are just all down hill from there. I mean, let's face it, they won the biggest game of their careers and got engaged. Life is just never going to be as good after that. That euphoria will never be matched.

Ahhh, what a game!
