Cheap Tickets
I was just looking at cheaptickets.com and I accidentally put in that I wanted a flight from Salem, OR to Portland, OR. These two cities are less than hour away. I drove to Portland this weekend through Salem. But what if I was in a hurry and wanted to fly instead of drive? Well, for the low, low price of $475, I can get a flight leaving Salem on Friday at about 1pm and I will land in Portland at 6:45am Saturday morning. So for 15 times the price of a tank of gas, I can get to Portland in about 18 hours via Salt Lake City, Utah and Boise, Idaho. Sweet!
