I Heart Jamba Juice
I went to Jamba Juice today. Smoothies help you get to heaven, in case you didn't know. I never really liked smoothies until Miles and Natasha started getting them all the time. They would always get one for me. So now I'm addicted. And I'm always looking for a Jamba Juice. So I went to OSU today because they have one there. I always order the Berry Lime Sublime too. It's good stuff.
One thing I like about living in Oregon is that there are actually some seasons around here. There are a lot of trees on the OSU campus, and while it's the latter part of fall now, there is still some great color out there.
I'm thinking I need to take some college classes some time soon. I have always liked taking classes. Plus, there's this hot girl that wants me to take a class or two with her. That means I definitely should take some classes.
How to further my education? I'm thinking about taking some business type classes. Try for an MBA perhaps? Or maybe some time of marketing, seeing as how I have a bit of experience in the field. I don't know.
I would rather take some liberal arts type stuff, but we all know where that gets you... More in debt with no employment prospects to show for it. For instance, I'm looking at the English graduate program page for OSU and it talks about how there master's graduates have gone on to teaching jobs or PhD programs. Yeah, wait to put your loan money to work there, buddy.
Yes, I'm talking about taking classes again, even though I consider going to college one of the biggest mistakes of my life. What can I say? I'm a lifetime learner. If I ever do win the Powerball, when I'm not gambling away my winnings in Vegas or getting sunburned and drunk in Mexico, I'll be taking more college classes. Hanging out with the co-eds and throwing money around like Rodney Dangerfield in Back to School.
My friend wants to take a creative writing class. I'm down with that. I'm interested in the whole creative writing thing, but I don't think that I have the right mind for it. I've always been better at math/science type stuff. My grades have always been higher in math classes than they have been in English classes. And in the past I've been able to breeze through math classes. For the last math class I took, I didn't even buy the book. I just showed up on test days and aced them. English is the only class I failed in college. I sort of attribute that to the attendance Nazi that ran the class, but I had a hard time with her final and ended up writing a bitter diatribe about how her methods did not coincide with the "system" that allows apathetic students to breeze through there college years. It was complete with illustrations of me jumping through hoops. She gave me an F on the final. I respect her, for trying to make me think and challenging me to put some effort into my education, but I eventually found a prof who cared as much about teaching the class as I did taking it and finally got the easy A I was looking for.
Anyway, I'm good at the whole student thing. I can pass a multiple choice test. I can write a stupid paper about a subject I know nothing about. But there were only a few classes that really interested me in college. Most of them were history classes, hence the degree.
Well, we'll see. I keep talking about this, but still no action. Winter quarter starts in January.
