Me and Jenny was like peas and carrots

I don't think that peas and carrots really go together. Sure, they are both vegetables, but complimentary are they? (Like Yoda, phrase my questions, do I.) I mean, take apples and oranges for instance. Both fruit, but yet, when you are "comparing apples and oranges," you are comparing two things that do not go together.

Look at them. Carrots are these long orange things that stick out of the ground. Peas are these little green round deals. I don't even know where they come from. Pods perhaps, but where do pods grow? On trees? Someone help me out here. I'm not a peaologist.

That and I don't really like peas. I like carrots. I buy baby carrots at the store. In a bag. Ready to use. No need for peeling. I eat them raw or I cook them. Peas? Peas are an annoyance that I push to the side of my plate if I'm eating something at a restaurant that happens to come with peas.

How did I get on this topic? I drove by Corvallis Sewing and Vacuums today. Sewing machines and Vacuums? Yeah, they go together like peas and carrots. And when I say peas and carrots, I'm talking about apples and oranges. How did this concept come about? Some guy was selling sewing machines and he thought, "You know what? When people come into my store to buy a sewing machine, I should also try to sell them a vacuum. Brilliant!" And now there are stores all across the country that sell sewing machines and vacuums. I would have went with sewing machines and fabric. But no, you have to go to the fabric store to get fabric. Unless you want to sew together vacuum cleaner bags, it is inevitable that you will be making two stops when you want to sew something and you don't already have a sewing machine.

Do people still sew, anyway? I'm talking about non-Amish people, here, because them Amish sure aren't lining up at the door of the sewing machine and vacuum store.

Yeah, but I drove by the sewing machine and vacuum store and that made me think of peas and carrots. And that got me thinking about Forrest Gump. So all night I have been uttering Forrest Gump quotes.

That's all I have to say about that.

Comments:
my mom sews. She just made the baby some blankets.

I sew. Mostly patches and stripes on uniforms. I also knit. I, however, do not knit patches and stripes for uniforms. I can and have made clothes though. Both sewing and knitting.

And you mix the carrots with the peas to help distract you from the peas. Focus on the carrots and everything will work out alright. Or you could do what my friends daughter did and shoot peas out your nostril at people.
